How it started

One truck and a recession

K & J Transport started in 1989 with a small wallet and a six wheel 1979 International Acco.

We started at the beginning of the recession, the one "we had to have". Those times made you very aware that if you didn't work hard and look after your machinery and your customers, you would not succeed. We're still going strong and, dare we say, growing.

We now run late model machinery for a larger scope of work, but we're still small enough to give a personalised service second to none. We still look after many of the same clients we started with, and we're always happy to take on new ones.

100,000 m³ of fill sand carted from Heathridge to Jandakot for a subdivision, with 4 loaders, 25 trucks, compaction machines, water carts and a scraper. That client kept us on and recommended us to their connections.

What we cart

From one load of pavers sand to a full basement dig. Ring with what you need and where it's going, and we'll tell you straight what it takes.

    Transport

    Six wheelers through to a 40 tonne truck and dog, plus low loader moves up to 25 tonnes.

    Sand & Soil

    House pad and builders sand, lawn sand, limestone, blue metal, road base and recycled fill.

    Waste

    Building rubbish, clay, grassy topsoil and demolition material taken away, loaders supplied.

    Earthmoving

    House pads, bulk excavation and basements. Machines hired with operators who know the work.
